I voted Green on the 4 June and am proud to be part of 15,764 others who gave the Steven Agnew their 1st preferance vote. The green party managed a vote share of 3.3% and was the only party to have a noticeable increase in the 2004 election position, with an increase of 2.4%.
In my constituency the far-right Traditional Unionist Voice polled well and their candidate, although unsuccessful, ensured that the mantle of top spot moved from the Democratic Unionist Party to Sinn Fein.
The introduction of politics from the 70's and 80's is not a welcome development and future elections to Westminster and NI Assembly are likely to be marred with more TUV successes.
