It\'s that time of year when I must start training to get ready for the slopes.

The simple rule is that the fitter you are the more you enjoy it. So between now and February, I\'ll be doing short runs several times each week, building up speed and duration as my fitness improves. Next month, I\'ll be adding a free weights regime to strengthen my back and knees.

I just wish skiing was as easy as getting fit.
