Channel 4 are now on their 2nd series of TV Show The Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, the first series opened up the culture of the Gypsy communities to a mainstream audience. We watched in amazement at the levels brides would go to in an attempt to outdo their friends when celebrating their wedding day. This became "must watch" tv, but behind the TV show there is real life. The term Gypsy is often used in a pejorative way and has been misused by the show's producers.
Today I discovered this blog, please read it and understand behind the headlines there are real people who have been so terribly misrepresented by this show.
