11 years ago today...

11 years ago today, a potential conspiracy happened which resulted in a Car Crash, on a famous bridge where a river at the heart of the Irish problem flows.

This is not a story about Diana, Princess of Wales and her tragic death. No this is about me.

We share a bit of history.

On the morning the world awoke to the news of her death, a neuck family from Newry, decided to plough into the back of yours truly, on the Boyne Bridge, in Drogheda.

I was happily waiting for the traffic lights to change to green, when the next thing I knew I was half up the road, under the momentum of a rear collision at 30 or 40 mph. I was driving my mums car, and well this was to be its final journey.

I wasnt badly injured, a bit of whiplash, and a forever fear of Newry drivers and traffic lights located on Irish bridges, but there remains a possibility (admitedly a very very unlikely one), that Duke of Edinburgh may well have disliked me and decided to have me taken out by a maniac driver...

So its an anniversary of sorts for me today...11 years ago...and my 1st proper car smash...
