Journey's end

We have come to the end of our 7 day trip thru Slovenia, Austria (briefly) and Italy....

In Tarvisio (Italy) we stumbled across a man whose business is in the sale of gnomes and other garden type ornaments

This wasn't a specialist garden centre more, it was a market stall...

The little village of Alesso was our destination that night...here is where we stayed, the place is called CAMPING LAGO DEI TRE COMUNI. located on Via Tolmezzo, 52. 33010 Alesso UD, a purely picture postcard location...

Then on Friday we travelled to Postojna, famous for its caves...more here, the next morning we got up at 5am ...grrr...to travel back to Ljubljana for our hot air balloon flight...unfortunately is was cancelled due to fog....grrr
Though in our haste to get there, I drove on the wrong side of the road (for only a tiny bit of the way...and then almost went around the next roundabout in the wrong direction...early morning and no coffee is the only answer i can give..



Last night Scott and I took the recommendation of a local barman who suggested we visit the alternative scene at a disused factory...it reminded me a bit of Christiania in Copenhagen....found the picture about in the gents toilets...just a little message for the neo-nazis...

In the main area a Jazz band played and local lads were displaying their body-popping skills...very safe place, a lot of fun and a nice experience to have had...
