Sunday 21 June - Day 2
A busy day, up early to drive to the UNESCO listed Skocjan Caves, photography is banned, so I had to sneak a picture without any flash...
After our trip to Skocjan we had to rush back to Ljubljana to park the motorhome back at the campsite and then rush to the Tourist Office for our hot air balloon flight...best laid plans and all than...well we made it in time to discover we were 12 hrs late, our flight was scheduled for 6.30 am and not plane old 6.30 as written on the tickets.
Now, I can't accept that I would have knowingly booked it for 06.30 am as it would have been first thing after the day we arrived and we had a long and tiring journey to get here...it was simply a breakdown in communication.
The tourist office advised that they don't do evening flights in Summer as the winds can be strong and making balloon flight too dangerous. Well that's the first time that was mentioned to me!!
We have been rebooked for 06.30am on Friday...holy feck...
Monday 22 June - Day 3
Off to Lake Bled with a few stops enroute...Sofja Loka and Kranj...both pleasant little towns...but really the food is crap...
Arrival in Lake Bled is breathtaking...perfect scenery...just no so perfect weather...but we have wifi...which means blogs and youtube videos...
and booze...so all isn't lost...tomorrow we shall explore the town and see what happens
