Hosting

Last weekend, from NYE until Monday, I hosted a student from China who is studying in the UK. It's part of a programme organised by Host UK, giving overseas students the opportunity to spend a weekend with a UK family, see a bit more of the country and to experience a little of the culture and traditions.

This was my first time hosting but wont be the last. The student I hosted was thoroughly charming and a tribute to his family and country. We had a great time on NYE, with a few too many drinks and a breezy trip to the Giant's Causeway on New Year's Day.
